*Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS): TSS is an infection that can lead to severe organ and circulatory failure caused by a specific bacterium. When this bacterium enters the bloodstream through an open wound or the uterus, it forms a poison that causes shock in the body and can be fatal to the person concerned. Most of the TSS cases known to date arose during the period. But men can also get TSS. Symptoms of TSS are generally fever, vomiting and diarrhea, but also symptoms similar to sunburn. If you notice one or more symptoms, remove the cup immediately and consult a doctor immediately.
Our cervix is like the bouncer to the VIP area of our uterus. It’s the doorway where sperm can enter into the womb and it also helps to protect our reproductive organs and baby (if we’ve conceived) from pathogens. This VIP doorway can move as we age due to hormonal changes or after giving birth.
Intimina's mission is to provide period coverage in all sizes. That's why they designed the Intimina Lily Cup for those of us with a higher cervix or heavier flow. If you've not given birth yet or did through cesarean, then size A is for you. If you've given birth or have weaker pelvic floor, size B is your gal. Both sizes provide complete comfort all period long!
